I guess you call them Hoosier's over here.
I just drove -i-70 from Pennsylvania to Lake Saint Louis (and have done i-70 from Colorado to St. Louis)
Even though this is where the interstate highway system started, I-70 in St. Charles County is the ugliest stretch of I-70 in the country.
Old industrial parks, Poor pavement, Billboards, Broken down strip malls. Used car lots.
The dirt road from Clendenon, WV to Charleston, WV ism ore attractive than that small of "hoosierville" between the Missouri River and Forristell.

No one ever thought Florida was great to begin with unless you're 95 and want to live in a retirement community ha ha ha Seriously Northern Florida is every bit as redneck as the remote wilderness of KY. I was down there (N. Florida, Crystal River and all the towns on the way) 2 years ago and there were so many toothless hillbillies it wasn't even funny. Most of the black hillbillies down there don't shower either. They stunk to high heaven and the white ones looked like crank addicts. Mo seemed like an Urban oasis in comparison ha ha

When I think of hillbillies, I tend to think of the Ozarks (mountain people in other words). But yeah...I guess you could call 'em the same thing, I dunno. Hoosiervilles are all over the United States...unfortunately. Not one state that doesn't have 'em.

Yep. Unless you live within 3 miles of the Ocean or in the Orlando/Winter PArk area, Florida is pretty damn scary. Those ain't yankees, them is rednecks.

I am speaking of all the yankees here in New York South (Florida!)
I live in the Gods waiting room area, more retirement communities than you can shake a stick at! They are all old Yankees, cranky as hell, and angry that we dont "do things like they do up north." Median age here in Marion County is 46.8, last time I checked, chew that over....

Come to Ocala, I'll show you Yankees! DH is from Winter Park, wish I lived there!
BTW, I live on the edge of the Ocala National Forest, and our rednecks make the ones in Missouri seem positively erudite.
