Default Good baptist church in city or inner-ring

About us; 24 year old male, 22 year old female, 2 year old son.

We are looking for a fairly traditional baptist church in the city or the inner-ring suburbs (like U-City, Richmond Heights, Clayton, etc). We would prefer to stay out of the far flung burbs like Chesterfield, etc.

We want a church with plenty of age diversity. We went to a baptist church that were all older folks, and a non-denominational church of ALL younger folks - we really want neither. We want to be right in the middle. The churches that are too young seem to be very cliquey.

We also want there to be plenty of activity - an active youth group, etc.

Any suggestions?

I'm not a Baptist, but this looks like an interesting Baptist church:

Hope that helps.

I have personally never been, but have an aunt who attended Tower Grove Baptist Church for many years before moving out of the area.

Choosing a church is a super personal decision of course, but check out their Web site, as they do seem to offer the mix you are looking for: Tower Grove Baptist Church Serving Christ in St. Louis and Around the World

Thanks for the responses to both of you.

I have actually been to both of these. The Third Baptist is a huge church with very few members, and Tower Grove Baptist is actually the one I was talking about that had a very...aged...population.

I would have thought given its location that they'd be a little more age diverse, though I understand they're kind of "old school" which may have that effect. Sorry I couldn't be of more help! Best of luck finding something that works for you and your family!
