Well, he drew a crowd of over 100,000 when he gave a speech under the Arch last year. He easily won St. Louis city and the St. Louis metro was 60% for Obama. I'm pretty sure and hope that he'll be welcomed.

I agree. I think it'd be embarrassing if they booed.

And in spite of those facts, I'm still proud to be from here.

this is sports it has nothing to do with politics...the president of the United States should never be booed in a sports setting, no matter how much Bush screwed up even he shouldnt have been booed, you dont have to clap and cheer just dont be a jackass and boo.

Well, at least if he does get bombastically booed.... Fox News labels StL as Most Patriotic city and relocates HQ from NY, thereby creating more jobs here. That would be cool.
If he's cheered too much a scanal may erupt, I fear, and may result in a Congressional investigation. Ha ha. I miss the good ole' days (the past couple years) when booing the Chief earned one a quick trip to the the woodshed located in an undisclosed location.
I personally don't want to see D Cheney either shoot or deport our beloved Pujols! I hear Dick is a Cubs fan so that makes me worry about not only jeers for Obama but also nuclear threats from N Korea. But then again, since this our state produced Rush Limbaugh, I think Missouri will be off-limits to terrorists at-home or abroad for sake of 'holy ground' status usually reserved to diligent cowboys crossing Indian burial ground in times of chasing desperate and evil enemies.
Really though, I think it will be a great All-Star game and think our Pres will cheered rather than jeered. StL is the perfect venue for the game, and Pujols is gonna knock one or two outta the park for not only us hometown fans but those abroad also. Enjoy the game everybody!
It's baseball so who cares about politics anyway really, although it was an interesting and valid question.

I doubt it. Bush was booed because of how much the country despised him at that time. Even the Deep South was starting to despise him...when a republican is that much out of favor in the deep south, you should expect him to be booed pretty much anywhere, as that is the most conservative region of the country. Obama was overwhelmingly supported by St. Louis and much of the country, so I doubt we will hear much booing.

Palin was booed and cheered, quite a mix. She wasn't president, though.
I doubt Obama gets booed. He drew quite a crowd when he campaigned here.
And it's the All-Star Game, so probably half (or more) of the fans there won't even be from St. Louis.

Just watch the game highlights
FoxNews will turn up the boos.
MSNBC will turn up the applause.
Personally I think he's made some mistakes (naming Geitner as Treasury secretary was a big one), but he also has a huge mess to clean up after 8 years of insanity and fiscal irresponsibility.
