Hi everyone,

So, I just moved to St Louis County from New York. I got 2 dwi's within a year of eachother about 3 years ago. I spent 30 days in jail, paid my fees, completed 3 years probation without ever doing any wrong, and took all necessary courses on drunk driving and what not.

The MO department of transpo sent a letter to my new residence here in STL stating that I cannot get a license until Sept of 2012!!

Im allowed to drive in New York, Why cant I drive here?

Please help, I cant survive without driving, especially in this economy where I need to take any job I can get, anywhere it may be.

Thank you

Probably because they don't like transplants in this neck of the woods.

In the meantime, keep your NY license until it expires. If you get pulled over, tell the police that you haven't decided if you are going to stay. Use a friend or relatives NY address if you have too.

And NEVER drink and drive ever again. Period.
