Things made in St. Louis
I would like to make a welcome gift basket. Looking to fill with things made in St. Louis. I was thinking about some local brewers, Dad's cookies, Gus' pretzels, Bissinger chocolate, Crown Candy etc.
If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them!
Thanks,
-D

How about Maull's BBQ sauce? It is, after all, a STL tradition!
Schlafly beer
No wineries that I know of that are located in the city or county, but there sure are a mess of them close by!

You could easily fill a gift basket with quality local beers. That would make me very happy. I would stay away from local wine and provel cheese.

There is also Fitz's root beer and sodas so the kids can enjoy a St. Louis beverage too!

-sigh- and you've been so good lately!
There are many, many wonderful wines produced in Missouri, and I am a self-confessed wine snob, why would you say that, Dinsdale?

I'm a wine snob too. I don't like white wines so I cannot judge the local quality. Most of the local red wines i've tried seem to have have a musky, dirt-tinged after-taste. Not to my liking. (but I'm partial to Long Island Wines)
But I still like the local beers!

How about a bag of Kaldi's fair trade coffee beans? I like the french roast.
