Lets hope Chicago gets the Olympics first. I'm all for another US World Cup. I wish Americans would embrace the game.
No bad there is nothing like a champions league in the Americas (North and South) It would make American Soccer much more interesting.

This is also already in place, it's called the SuperLiga. The teams from the Mexican Federation and MLS play. It's been going on since 07....

Umm...no.

The CONCACAF Champions league is a club tournament, our version of the UEFA Champions league.

not gonna happen. Too many people want to run the rams out of town. I'm not signing it. There are more important issues that need to be resolved. Perhaps if we already planned to have a new stadium by then I'd be inclined to sign. That isn't the case though.

Yet, everyone wants to build a $300 million dollar stadium for a 40 million dollar MLS franchise. Sports priorities are all out of wack here lately apart from The Cardinals.

St. Louis needs to make a commitment to keep the rams, and build a new stadium on the east riverfront. Had this commitment been made prior to this bid you'd be in terrific shape. Of course everyone has been wanting to get rid of the rams the past 3 years and now its bit you on the ass.

You could have been wooing the world cup committee with sleek designs of a new stadium to be built, but you were too busy not caring if the rams left or not. Congratulations.

Say what? The CONCACAF Champions league is not a club tounament, it's a nations tournament. It is not our version of the Champions League. Our version of the Champions league is the SuperLiga, look at my response above....

I forgot about the Superliga, I guess you don't really get much MLS news when the region doesn't have a team. I think the region could support a team.

We can go onto an entirely new thread about a new stadium (against, unless it is more than 80% privately funded), revitalizing the downtown (its going to take more than a stadium) and the Rams (the were run out of Anaheim/SoCal and nobody misses them)

The CONCACAF Champions League IS a club tournament. It IS our version of the UEFA Champions League. Champions League | Champions League Home DC United plays Jabloteh tonight in fact. World Cup qualifying is called just that...World Cup Qualifying. The US is in the CONCACAF group.
