Hi guys, I had another question, I'm a huge NBA fan and I wanted to know if there were any sports bars that show NBA games?
The Blues are pretty popular here and there's no NBA team here so maybe its a shot in the dark?
I just want a nice place I can catch the big games with a crowd that's as into it as I am.
Thanks!,
-- Julia
I know there are a few soccer bars in Clayton so I was curious if the same were true for the NBA

I can't say for sure of any place that features NBA games but any decent sports bar will cover NBA games during the NBA season, right? Having said that, I have a few places I like best for extended drinking and sports watching occasions:
- Weber's Front Row - an excellent choice when in Webster Groves
- BW3's, on Olive out past I-270
- Lester's, on Clayton Rd out in Ladue - kind of high end but nice
- Hot Shots, not really my scene but good TV viewing throughout. I've only been to the one in Fenton.

Ha! You would think yeah, I'm coming from pittsburgh and I'm used to getting the usual ignorant comments whenever I ask to see an NBA game. "Thugs criminals" etc, really irritating.
I was also hoping to find a bar in the city w/in walking distance of Dogtown or at least a short drive into downtown. I haven't learned the highways yet unfortunately.

And you expect St. Louis to be different because...?
You only need look at the MLS/NBA thread to see how this board feels about the NBA. Add in the demographics for city-data and you're more than likely not to find what you're looking for. Sad reality, but I'm on your side. You can probably just call up a few bars and ask around. Good Luck

Arch_Genesis: Both cities were named best sports city this decade. You would think there would be a few people that follow and like the NBA here. (Apparently not?)
I'm just looking for a nice bar to watch a game at. I'm not looking to stoke any fire on this board, although, I saw that thread and my vote goes for NBA! LOL
I'll try calling a few bars, thank you guys!

Took me a while to decipher your meaning here. Yes, St. Louis has an unusually high interest in soccer. Having lived in Chicago during the later Jordan dynasty, I gotta say it is pretty cool watching pro hoops in a bar where the crowd is pumped about it.
Kilkenny's in Clayton isn't really a sports bar, but you can watch games there and it is another place I would recommend for that purpose.

I'll also throw in SportsZone in Webster/Shrewsbury. If you can get past the smoke, and some can and some can't, they have a lot of tv's and they are very good at putting on games of all sports.
OB Clark's in Brentwood, similar smoke situation, not sure about NBA packages there, but they get most sports packages. Food is better there than SportsZone imo. Television viewing, # of tv's better at SportsZone.

Personally, I like Ozzie's in Westport for sports. They have a number of tables with their own televisions and will find you nearly ANY game that is on a sports channel. For example, when I wanted to watch the NCAA Division III football game, they sat me at a table and tuned the channel in immediately.
