I too would go with Annie Gunn's, Wapango, or Yia Yias. Close by is also Tucker's at Manchester and 141.

I'd do something more active on a first date than meeting at a restaurant, but that's me. Only thing worse to me is a movie on a first date. Get out and about and move around, instead of a sit down restaurant.
And, if you did the asking, if the person likes your company, it won't matter where you go or what you do. Also, if you did the asking, medium to expensive priced restaurants are out of the question on a first date. Try that several dates later. You want to know if the person likes you for you. The good ones will. Then you will have more enjoyment treating them later.

I agree. And you are not going to make too much of an impression by taking someone to a franchise eatery.

I tend to agree, so many better places than the chains. I forgot, there is also Bacana... a great churrascaria.
