And no, "most" strip clubs are not in Sauget. They are spread out across Sauget, Centreville, Caseyville, ESL, Washington Park, etc, etc.

One last post...it is about 98% black, 1% white, 1% other. It's nowhere near 90/10.

I wonder who the white people are that still live there?

That takes some stones.

I'm guessing that it is some poor elderly white folks who have lived there a while and have no means to go anywhere else.

Actually, strip joints are illegal in ESL. They are located in Washington Park and Brooklyn, for the record.

Are you sure? Last time I was in ESL (by accident) there was a strip joint named Rte 37 Girls. Looked like at least 3 people have been murdered there in the last 6 months

There is a reason the housing market is dirt cheap. My best friend lives right in the heart of E STL and I've been there plenty of times... none pleasant experiences and never go alone at night.

Default East Boogie Is Horrible!!!

I will give it to you straight...no chaser. Earlier this year, a teenaged girl murdered her pregnant childhood friend. She cut the baby out of her stomach in her bathtub, and posed it as her own. The baby died, and at the funeral she confessed to her boyfriend what she did. THEN a few days later, she drowned the deceased friend's three other young children (ages 7, 4, and 15 months) and stufffed them in the washing machine at her apartment complex. She is currently being considered for death row...and guess what?! This happened in EAST ST. LOUIS! Not only should the housing be cheap, it should be free!

Default Monkeys?!

You know...I agree that East St. Louis SUCKS, but black folks should NEVER be compared to monkeys. What's up with that?!
