That being said, St. Louis is well over due for an influx of the latino population.
As long as they are in this country legally and taxpayers, I'm fine with that. I've been to Monterrey, MX and it is a fantastic city.

Rigazzi's. Great pre-Blues game hangout, decent prices and great food. Oh and the Bass Ale fishbowls are great as well .

. Well, just hammered a La Vallesana burrito. My gf and I took a nice stroll up and down Cherokee St and the weather was fantastic. And as usual, LV was doing good business. I was seated next to a table of Latino’s but I didn't think to ask if they were more or less Latino than their brethren on the west coast.

I figured the parade/concerts/festival would be going on but now I see that isn't until Saturday.

Gosh, I would have to say my favorite Italian restaurant, while not technically on the Hill, is trattoria marsala. De Lish!

My SO and her family love Milos. So I plan to try my luck on the bocci ball fields this summer.

For casual...Zia's. Hands down. We get carry out from there all the time.

For nicer...LoRusso's, though also not technically on the Hill even if they say they are.

Speaking of food, looks like we aren't too fat, aren't too skinny, we come in #49 on the fattest city list. Looks like Kansas City is in the top 10, probably because of the awesome BBQ. What in the world are they eating down in Texas?

Texas-sized portions, I guess. It must be hard to get out and run/bike/walk etc when the heat index is 134. Although Austin should be excepted from this because I saw nothing but beautiful, healthy friendly people during my visits. And this was before the 6th Street pub crawling.

Notice how the majority of the top 10 leanest are Western cities, with two in Colorado, as I've been saying all along...very few fatties in the Centennial State.

God Zia's is good. Was back there last night for the first time since their fire. I finally tried their toasted ravioli as well (amazing!), since my boyfriend always gives me crap about liking the frozen kind you buy at the grocery store that most restaurants serve.

This is my first post on CDF. I just moved to St. Louis from Boulder for my job. I live in the UC area and like it (similar to Boulder, maybe a bit slower), but this poster does make some prescient observations. There are WAY too many people here who smoke and/or are overweight and eat too much. I like St. Louis, but this was quite a culture shock for me. I'm glad to see St. Louis/O'Fallon in the top lists, but certainly some improvement can be made in the overall health area, eh?
