If you are looking for a late model Outback, I would strongly recommend just buying new. Back in 2011 when I bought one for my stable, used 2010 prices were HIGHER than new 2011s. The the used prices have dropped a bit, but the used ones are still a bad deal compared to new.
Let's say a clean used 2013 2.5 Limited will run you roughly $26k. A new 2015 2.5i Limited will be $28.5k. For that difference you might as well go new.

Subarus are not like Chevys or Fords. They hold their value. You don't lose $6000 the day you drive a Subaru off the lot. We realized it was cost effective and smart to buy new. So we did. Will do the same next time.
The prior generation was 2010-2014. There were some suspension issues on the earliest ones, and there were changes in 2013. However, you should drive the 2010-2012's first before discounting them. Some people felt some wandered on the highway, but this seems to still be a small percentage compared to the whole.
Aside from that, we have a 2013 3.6R Limited we bought new. Love it, and it has hardly depreciated from what we paid for it nearly three years ago.
