I use NOW products because my herbalist uses them, but i get them cheap online at allstarhealth. i checked out prices and i checked the expiration date when i got the vitamins and shipping is cheap. i am happy.

I wonder two things:
1) everybody already knows what this is about and so they've avoided it
but.....most R Lipoic Acid products are not properly processed. Without special processing, R-Lipoic Acid is highly unstable and difficult to absorb. In fact, only a small percentage of unstabilized R-Lipoic Acid is actually absorbed. Why pay for something you’re not absorbing?
That's very interesting. I haven't read all of it, but so far it sounds persuasive. I've been taking 600mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid, once a day from Bluebonnet (thioctic acid, they call it). Also, I've been taking R-alpha lipoic acid from Syntrax.
What is the difference between R and regular Alpha LA?
