Default Omega 3-6-9 and bruising?

Anybody have this side effect?

I was getting heavy bruising on my lower extremities while taking it and once I discontinued the supplement, the bruising was minimized.

Any suggestions from a supplement standpoint? I was taking 2400mg daily, but maybe I should lower the dosage to 1200mg (one soft gel)?

Yeah, I've read up on it, that's how I knew to discontinue it. I think this happened to me a few years back while on the supplement and I ended up reading an article on CNN and that's how I put it together. I hate the idea of not taking fatty acids so I gave it a try again and the same thing happened.

I've heard Vitamin K helps prevent bruising, I just haven't been able to find it in stores easily. I was going to see if I took that along with the Omegas if it would make a difference.

I tend to have easy bruising because of my hypothyroidism and also because some of the supplements I've taken have blood thinning properties (cod liver oil, Vit. E) if I had a slight cut in the kitchen, for example, I'd bleed and bleed and bleed, so I've made it a habit to take vit. K too which has solved both problems, it's also said to be good for our bones and I need that too.
