Hi everyone!

You all know so much about Onondaga Co., can you help me assess a westside(?) location?

I live in Grant Village Apts in Eastwood right now, but the rent is getting too high (I'm a part-time grad student working my way full-time through school). I saw these apts.
in Craigslist: the ad describes the location as "Eastwood". I used to live in an apt. along Milton Ave/Gordon Prkwy in Camillus/Syracuse, so I was a little confused about how this location can be considered to be in Eastwood. I think it's off W.Genesee St., by the Rite Aid and Behind the Iron Gates.

Thank you for your help with this!

Yeah, looks like a replacement advertisement corrected it to talk Tipp Hill. Decent area, though not the best part of Tipp Hill.

Thank you! Decent is good enough for my last year of grad school. I'll have to check the apartment out.

Thanks again!

I agree, it's decent in terms of not really having much crime, but it is an area of the city with it's share of weathered looking homes and is more working class. Some might call it the West End too.

Agreed. Decent area - safe enough and probably fairly quiet. Nothing too exciting about it - and it is more West End than Tipp Hill. Please note that the West End and West Side are two completely different areas.

I think some people include it with Tipp Hill because it is an area that still has a pretty strong Irish American flavor to it.
