Mottville, Marysville, Skaneateles Falls, Willow Glen?
Anyone familiar with these little places north of Skaneateles? What can you tell me about them? E.g., Quaint or run-down, good place to raise a family or too isolated?
Thanks in advance!

homeward bound, these places are like intersections, blink and you'll miss them.

Some of them don't even show up in the city-data search!
But surely they've got to have houses, stores, churches, etc. I can see that on the aerial photos on mapquest.
Maybe one way to put this is, Do they feel stranded, incidental? Or peaceful, private?
Also, how long of a drive is it into Skaneateles from these places? Mapquest suggests they're only a few miles out of town....

I meant to answer this privately, but maybe it will help others. Those places, Mottville, Skaneateles Falls, Borodino etc, are for the most part considered hamlets. Places are divided by tax division and all those places are part of the Skaneateles school tax. There simply is no formal dividing line for these places. All the kids go to the same school, shop at the same areas and enjoy the same amenities. My kids have friends that live in Mottville, etc, but you would only know it if you asked for directions to their house..they might say "seven miles down the lake in Spafford" (which is still part of Skaneateles).
Does this help?
