Can anyone recommend a good facility for boarding dogs?

Ideally, I would like a doggy daycare place that also does overnight boarding. My dogs did this in Hawaii and I like that better than them being stuck in a room/kennel all day. Most of the time I leave them with my sister, but I've got some upcoming trips that she may not be able to watch them for.

I do not want to board them at my vet, or any vet for that matter. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

Bed 'n Bowl
5196 Emhoff Road
Chittenango NY, 13037
(315) 655-4652

Talk to the owner Camille. It is not a kennel. She's a Great Dane rescue person and also does both doggie day care and longer term boarding. The dogs are treated as family members - not as revenue producers. She is a total animal person through and through. If Chittenango is a bit too far out of town for daycare, then I can also recommend Blue Prints on Nottingham Road for that (same plaza as Bruegger's Bagels.) I don't think they'd be good for longer term boarding as they are not in a rural environment.

Thanks!! Chittenango is further than I want to travel - but I did email Blue Prints to see if they do boarding (doesn't look like it from their website). I did also contact the Dog Gone Inn in Manlius and they definitely do overnight boarding. They're looking like my best bet at this point. I've never had so much trouble finding a good boarding facility before!

Bed 'n Bowl is not really any further than Manlius from most places. It's listed as a Chittenango address but is actually just outside Fayetteville near the back entrance to Gree Lakes State Park. I hope you'll doublecheck the distance and consider it - Camille is a really cool person (we used to work together) and she absolutely loves dogs and treats them like family - seriously.

Dog Gone Inn is maybe 2 minutes nearer Syracuse than Bed n' Bowl. Really. You reach Fayetteville sooner than Manlius, from Lyndon Corners, and the "Chittenango" address is maybe a mile and a half outside of the village.

Thanks for the tips everyone! I ended up making reservations at the Dog Gone Inn. I spoke with the owner a few times and am ecstatic to know that she has a dog of the same breed as mine - Italian Greyhounds! Makes me even happier to know that she knows the ins and outs of the breeds, etc.
