Great article, I especially enjoyed reading "the Legionnaire" posted in the article and the drawing by the late architect Michael P. Nowak of a vision he had for an Onondaga Lake attraction.
I find it amazing that there were those in 1946 who were nostalgic for the "bygone" era of a once clean Onondaga Lake and its potential for the community and region. I think we are fortunate to see the clean-up become a reality and have an opportunity for input on its future, though it would take a lot of convincing for me to "go jump in the lake" for a swim which I hear may become a reality.
Imagine if the Nowak concept had become a reality, but I think it is all timing. The lake really needs to be cleaned up before something like that can fully succeed, which (as we all know) is underway.
I think the recent COR proposal for the inner-harbor will go a long way in fulling Nowak's vision.
Thanks ckh!

I am the most shocked out of everyone to be saying this, but I MIGHT BE BUYING A HOUSE!! Yes, me the person who constantly says she can't afford it. It sort of fell into my lap earlier this week and things are moving extremely quickly. I'm just doing some number crunching to figure out if I can swing it or not. My biggest worry would be getting in over my head and then being stuck with a house I cannot afford. I should know within the next few days if it's a go or not

Congratulations! I understand what you mean and it is important to make sure that everything lines up. Is the home somewhere you want to be?

Thanks! Of course it's somewhere where I want to be I wouldn't be looking otherwise. I've already been approved for a mortgage, just getting hung up on some of the details. It's a scary thought to put myself more in debt
Putting an offer on the house this afternoon Cross your fingers that it's accepted!
