This just adds to the flavor of the village and with the college there, I wonder if it may be a popular spot for some of the students?

Where are you moving to, if you don't mind me asking?

I am on a two year contract right now. It all depends on the economy and job situation in that time. It will be on the West Coast or a state surrounding the West Coast.

Area unemployment rates rise

Don't get discouraged:

Ironically, this may be good news. As more people enter the labor force seeking more jobs, the unemployment rate increases. The Syracuse MSA is actually adding jobs.

If economic conditions are bad, people leave the work force entirely and the unemployment rate goes down. Fewer workers in the labor force means that the unemployment rate drops even though no new jobs have been created.

The Wall Street Journal had a section on the latest tech gadgets and profiled a Syracuse company that developed headphones that don't touch the ears. This product seems attractive for people that who don't want to get hearing loss from wearing headphones that touch the ears and want to hear background noise like cars and sirens.

Barnes & Noble will be carrying this product next month. The company is called VoxLinc LLC and is based on Burnet Avenue. Unfortunately, the headphones are made in China, but at least the company is based in CNY.

I stumbled across this WSYR9 news report about an Senior apartment fire in Pulaski. The first thing that struck me was the height of the building. I didn't know they allowed low to mid-rise buildings in Pulaski of all places. huh, who knew

I hit Willow Bay yesterday, but no luck. There were only a few other people over there as well. I'm eyeing a new location though that I'll probably hit today or tomorrow
