We're standing at about half and half around me. Depends on the mix of trees planted.

I'm actually starting to think that I have been living in a different Syracuse than you and some other posters on this forum. I don't think I have agreed with you on 1 thing abou Syracuse.

lol - I think so! I took a picture of our neighborhood... only the black walnut trees look bare. They're just starting to leaf out. It's positively LUSH!
Of course, I can't find my camera cord... gah.

And remember IM7 is from the city and they are a month or more ahead of us. I was there about a Month ago and I'd say they were about were we are now.

Yeah, I just drove up from Long Island on Sunday and the trees there are way ahead of the trees here.

I don't know about that... I'm southeast of the city and my pics look at least like Becca's, who is just barely northwest of the city.
As acknight said, it must be that many of the types of trees near you both are the late-blooming kind. Of course, there are still quite a few trees in your own pictures with leaves, especially the first. It's the extreme that bothers me. "Syracuse has no leaves yet!" Erm- no. *Some* trees haven't gotten theirs yet... and those trees will keep theirs long past when the others have shed them. Our lilacs trees are thick with leaves and the purple buds are growing bigger every day. <--- my favorite flower. I can't wait to catch their scent when the breezes blow into the house.
Imj- Long Island had better be far ahead of Syracuse... they're in a different growing zone *south* of us. lol

Yes, well that would be because L.I. is 1-1/2 zones warmer than here.

This is so awesome, a fight about bare trees!!!
I love the innerweb+1!!!
Took the dawgs for a walk, very nice out tonite.

Bonus points in this one for having an abandoned house. Oneida has many, many, many abandoned housed so I'm used to seeing them but this one makes me sad. Its really a nice house but its been empty for years so who knows anymore.

This is Cottage Lawn, home of the Madison County Historical Society.
Nothing to do with trees, I just love this house. 100 years ago Oneida must have been a very nice place.
