If you look at the map for households earning over $200,000, the Western suburbs might also be an area that could get a store. There are parts of Camillus, as well as places like Skaneateles and Onondaga Hill that have some folks in that demographic. It would probably be located somewhere in Fairmount/Camillus along West Genesee Street. Here's the map or source for the map: Mapping America ? Not a chance. Camillus gets absolutely NOTHING that is even remotely cutting edge, cool, or different. No Thai, Indian, Sushi restaurants at all. No bookstore either. Plenty of pizza joints, drug stores, and banks though. Place is the definition of whitebread.

Skaneateles, maybe.
I hear what you are saying. Maybe this could be their chance to get something different.
I don't know a single thing about how good that link that was posted above is, never heard of it.
But it stated that in Upstate only Buffalo, Rochester and Albany were getting stores and they operated on two year plans and Syracuse was not in any plans for at least two years.
They may be replenishing the Western stores out of Pa. and Albany out of where ever they handle the downstate stores.
Read it an weep! Syracuse unlikely to get a TJ's anytime soon, unlike Rochester and Albany. Strange since Aldi's has a major presence in CNY and a distribution center near Tully. I would imagine they know the local market.

They said Albany was NOT on their plan right on up until the day they announced it was coming. The media was all over it for months before. Funny how real estate shopping will do that. So Syracuse don't give up hope!!!! Put a bug in Whole Foods and The Fresh Market's ears too!
Well I could care less about Wholefoods.....................but................ ......
My Mom is moving back to NY next Month and thats her favorite store. When she lived here last year she did OK with Hannaford or to some extent Wegmans but she sure missed Wholefoods.
So if ya all could get one here it would make my life easier but I'll sit this battle out.
I will be at a TJ's next month and will load the car with everything I can fit!!!!

I'm just wondering as to where they could put one of those stores in the area. It would be nice if one of them could replace one of the Tops Markets in the Eastern suburbs. I wonder I wonder if one could work in the Northern or Western suburbs too. One of those in Downtown Syracuse would be nice too.
