Rochester area or Syracuse? Have three boys so schools and sports are a must and need to good! Would like to have 5 or more acres for 4 wheelers and a lake view and mountain view. Are there Cancer hospitals within a hour? I have read and seen that Rochester has alot of parks, museums, theatre etc. How is Syracuse for all that.

Syracuse has all of those things as well. You might like the southern Onondaga County towns. I know that the Tully area has small lakes and has some steep hills and valleys. Even the Jamesville area would fit and some of that area is in the LaFayette, Fabius-Pompey and of course the Jamesville-DeWitt school districts. Some small parts may be in the Fayetteville-Manlius SD. Skaneateles and Marcellus, as well as the Jordan-Elbridge areas would fit too. You can search for homes and their acreage as well. Parts of Madison, Cayuga, Cortland and Oswego Counties would fit all or most of your criteria too.

As for cancer centers, you may like this: A New Cancer Center at SUNY Upstate in Syracuse | Upstate Cancer Center Campaign | SUNY Upstate Medical University

I would suggest Pompey and Jamesville near Pompey with Jamesville Dewitt Scool district. I have a little ove 3 acres and that is considered small. We are a hop skip and a jump to downtown Syracuse and Erie Blvd. It a great place to raise kids.
