Well - the rental market isn't that much better in Texas - very high in Austin - better in Houston but there are hurricanes there.

A Texan who is considering moving to Syracuse for a job.

If you make the move, what type of community or area would you prefer to live in? BTW- I've actually have been seeing some Texas plates around here lately and not just near Syracuse University.

I had a difficult time renting a month to month house in Syracuse. We had to come up with a rent to buy option or impossible. You can also do a corporate suite in an apt.complex/ minimum of 3 months, furnished, but not cheap. Furnished houses very few, unfurnished, but with a yr. lease, a few I found for a 6 mth lease on Craigslist. Found a scam on Craigslist for a house rental that wasn't even a rental. Anyways, I found a realtor who helped, but he was creative w/ the issue.
