Mortgage Broker Needed (New York, Rochester, Syracuse: credit, home equity, houses)

Can anyone recommend a mortgage broker in the area? We are looking to relocate to the Finger Lakes. We already have an application in with GMAC, but I'm hoping for a local human. I know there has to be someone out there!

We have a few homes picked out we would like to look at. Just trying to get all of our ducks in a row. The plan is for me to visit the end of the month with the hope of picking out one of the houses. We just need to get out of SC and go back to normal people and normal life. This is not for us.

I do have a realtor in mind. I'm hoping to have a pre-qualified letter before getting in touch with him. If not, well, he'll have to live without the letter or I'll find another realtor who will. Not much I can do if a bank is slow. We really want to be settled before Thanksgiving. Halloween would be ideal. I don't want my Christmas tree to be standing on a pile of moving boxes!
