Here's their official website - Apartments in Syracuse, New York | Rivers Pointe Apartments | Liverpool, NY

It says they just opened Spring 2012, which is why there are no reviews

This on the other hand makes it more tangible. Clay's plan for Three Rivers Point development keeps chugging along | syracuse.com
So, it is legit. I'm wondering if this plan is just another Radisson or Village Green.

I talked to a Guy at the site and the first two buildings open in late June. There will be 26 apartments in about 15-20 buildings each.

Default Update

So, we just arrived in Liverpool yesterday. Spent the whole day at the Onondaga Park and then the state fairgrounds had a whole fireworks display just for our arrival. Wasn't that nice!

Love Wegmens, btw. My favorite thing in the area, so far.

We ended up backing out of the Rivers Pointe Apartments. Just before our lease she remembered we had a dog that isn't actually allowed in the first building and also forgot to tell us about an extra pet deposit and pet rent. It was adding up too way too much, almost $1600 just for a complex! Might as well get a house for that!

So, we are going for Saddle Club, not my ideal, but for living her for less then a year, it seems fine. The kitchen is about 4 times smaller then the one I had, but I'm going to focus on the positives. I didn't feel unsafe around there and we met the neighbors and they were very nice. We move in on Saturday so I'm hoping it all goes well.

Tomorrow I'm off to find the Library! Thank you all so much for your help! After Saturday I'll post an update with details and pictures of the apartment for anyone that might be interested in it.

Thanks for the update! Good luck with the move this weekend.

Wegmans is amazing, I don't know what I'd do without it!

Sounds like Rivers Pointe was turning shady. I think you should be fine in Saddle Club for that amount of time. I don't remember reading it anywhere, but where are you heading after your stay here in the Syracuse area?

There is a library in the Village of Liverpool - corner of 2nd and Tulip St

Thanks Becca, we did find the library, it was very close by. Everything seems to be close by, very convenient.

We are not sure were we will be next yet. We will find out in about 6 months. Hoping for Spain!

Saddle Club Towhomes, our opinion (for anyone looking to move in)

Ok, nothing special. Seriously smaller then our last place! Depends on what you are used to though, I'm sure, but the kitchen is 4 times smaller then I had before so I'm having a hard time figuring things out. There is no food pantry and I can't even find a drawer big enough for my pots and pans. Really needs lots more cupboards and space but a newly wed couple or family starting out would probably do ok. The apartments look very old, cheaply made (as we noted a lot of minor damages). Living room and dining room are just one larger room. Carpet is not laid down very well (coming up in some areas), but the wooden style floors in the kitchen and bathrooms are nice. Air conditioning is loud (not used to hearing it at all). The basement can really only be used for storage as it is an open ceiling with wooden beams with lots of cobwebs and cement floors that occasionally might leak (as the office said). We had an attic, storage shed, walk in closets and and under stairs storage before. Now that will all be in the basement. You only have one small closet in each room (and they get smaller as the rooms get smaller) and then one linen closet. Your front door walk right into your kitchen which is a bit strange, but you have a back door that comes in at the end of the hall/bottom of stairs which we were thinking is a better entrance. I've never had an apartment size refrigerator either so that is a new experience.....can't stock up as much as I was before. You will need your own lamps/lights for each room. Only the hall, kitchen, and bathrooms have lights. We were spoiled rotten with two double sinks and 2 1/2 baths in our town home before. Now we have 1 1/2 bathrooms, and the master bathroom is about half the size of my previous 1/2 bath. I don't want to sound like I'm complaining to much so for the good side of things, we don't hear our neighbors at all. No playground, but there is a pool. Families will have no problems with there kids making friends. We had a flock at our door by the second day. We didn't really have much a choice with our requirements and time limit so I'm very grateful to even have a place to live. Apartments came with high speed internet and standard cable. I haven't had cable in 7 years so that should be interesting, I didn't realize so many channels where the basics! Having high speed internet covered is a nice money saver. Golds Gym was pretty nice next door to the town homes and not a bad price at all for their family membership. We really like Liverpool. Went to an awesome church in Baldwinsvile today.....very cute town. Wegmens is super great! The huge shopping center on 31 is about 15 minutes and has everything you should ever need. Weather here has been wonderful for summer. Considering it got up to 111 degrees where we used to live, I'm enjoying this warm, but much cooler weather here in NY.

So, hopefully there are some good and bad points in this that will help someone.

Thank you so much for all the updates!!! So many times, people never post after asking for advice, so it is great to follow along with your story.

Well, good thing you are only staying in Saddle Club for a short period of time

FYI - we have a grocery and liquor store in the Village of Liverpool... they don't have a great selection, but if you need to pick up a few things it's super convenient. It's called Nichols - located on First St, right past Tulip. For the most part, I do all my shopping at Wegmans and the Regional Market, but having Nichols right there when I need something on the fly is great.
