Onondaga county grew by 8 thousand in the last census....also, major progression in the university hill area...look at the new thread I just posted with some construction pictures...also, we have one of the biggest and busiest malls in the country which currently is being expanded...we have many more hospitals and universities. Do not know much about Saratoga.

Based on a a salary of $50,000 in Syracuse, New York should increase to $68,478 in Saratoga Springs, New York. Syracuse is slightly below the national average, while Saratoga Springs is slightly higher. See link.
As far a proximity to airports, it depends on where you live in Saratoga County. Based on a google search, the City of Saratoga Springs is approximately 27 miles from Albany International Airport, which is about the distance from City of Cortland (Cortland County) to Syracuse International Airport. Syracuse Hancock International is generally within a 15 or 30 minute drive from anywhere within Onondaga County. Both Syracuse and Albany have approxiamtely the same number of mainline carriers. Southwest is the low cost airline out of Albany, while Jetblue provides low-cost service out of Syracuse.
Syracuse has a number of major (regional) hospitals that are undergoing major expansions; SUNY Upstate Medical Center (University hill and Onondaga hill locations); St. Josephs Medical Hospital; Crouse Hospital; and the Veterans Adminstration (VA) Hospital, all of which are within a 15 to 30 minute drive within Onondaga County. There is also the recently completed Galisano Childrens Hospital and a Cancer Research Center underconstruction, both affiliated with SUNY Upstate Medical Center; and a Spinal Cord Injury/Disease Center at the VA which is either nearing completion or completed. Onondaga County also has North Medical Center on Taft Road in Clay (northern suburbs) and Northeast Medical Urgent Care of N. Burdick Street in Fayetteville (eastern suburbs).
I am not sure about hospitals in Saratoga County or Albany County.
