CNY schools well represented among top 176 School Districts in U.S. receiving designation

In its 13th annual survey, the NAMM Foundation honored the top 176 school districts in the United States for their commitment to music education. Districts were selected based on their rankings in the survey which had questions including funding for music programs, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, support for the music programs and other relevant factors in their communities' music education programs. The following Syracuse area school districts were honored:

Eastern Suburbs:
Chittenango (Madison County)
Fayetteville-Manlius (Onondaga County)

Northern Suburbs:
Baldwinsville (Onondaga County)
Liverpool (Onondaga County)
Phoenix (Oswego County)

Western Suburbs:
Skaneateles (Onondaga County)
West Genesee (Onondaga County)

For families with children relocating to the Syracuse area that desire a well funded and comprehensive music program, this information may be helpful. It's important to note there are also many other school districts in the area that have good music programs.

Good point and news. I know this has been discussed before on this forum. I wonder of the list expanded to more schools, if more area schools would be included? I think that there would be.
