Village of Manlius to Oneida... Herb Phillipson's for a new gun, actually - yesterday. 25 minutes, on the nose. Left at 12:10 and arrived at 12:35. We got stuck behind a few vehicles - a firewood truck going 40 in a 55 on 173, a truck and trailer full of tools going 35 in a 55 from Chittenango to the hill going up toward Wanderer's Rest and a tractor trailer from Canastota to the Oneida Walmart turn (25 in a 55>40.) It's another 5-8 ish minutes to Turning Stone, per Mapquest.

If I had to wait for a light to get out of the Village, instead of 4 stop signs, it would take a few minutes longer. 35 minutes.

Now I'm lost?????

I thought the "target" was Fayetteville????

Only about 6-8 miles of the route you took would be part of the 24 miles from TS to FV.

Those few miles, between Chittenango and Walmart, are also nearly all the 55MPH on the trip. The other 16-18 miles are all under. Well under in most cases.

And most of that is slow going. My shiney new GPS app for my iPhone 5 shows Walmart at 2.9 miles from me and 10 minutes. But thats 7AM on a Sunday morning. Get out of work during rush minute and its easily 20+ minutes.

And that would be part of the OPs husbands drive. Now keep in mind not everybody hates sitting in traffic. I do and other people do to but then others like 12 stop lights in 10 miles. Burn alot of gas sitting at them lights I do

Its not a NY thing either. Take 19 from Clearwater Florida up through Port Richy and you'll see its a bad road thing not a NY thing. But alot (and I mean ALOTT!!!!) of people fight there way up that road everyday.

Everything I posted thats fact, as opposed to opinion, based would be easily proved by anyone with a car and a couple bucks for gas.

Why is it important to you to argue about things so easy to prove you wrong on??

I'm not even sure why its important to you to keep looking so silly. All I'm saying is its a slow drive with alot of stop lights. I could care less if anyone does it or not, just pointing it out.

You making things up and outright lying to what end exactly?? If they moved here they'd see you didn't know what you were posting about quicky anyway.

So why do you keep on??

I can stick my arm out the window next to me a wave at anyone making the run. I'm on parts of the commute every single day whether I'm driving or walking my dawgs.

From the roads you listed as being relevant to a trip to Turning Stone I can't even say you even know where it is except "over that way somewhere".

I can list every intersection with a light. Almost every dimple in the road. I say its to far a commute, other don't. But your lying about the time is bizarre.

Okay, Sean. You are entirely reasonable... and truthful too.

Ahhhh, this is about feelings.

My bad, I thought it was a time/distance type thing.

When it comes to women and "feelings" I'm out.

You win, I feel the trip can be made in 20 minutes during a snow squall or 15 in good weather.
