Hi, Nonie
I tried to PM you a very long post, but it got rejected because it was over 5000 char. So, I'll post part of my message here and I'll PM you the rest. It's a little out of order, I hope you don't mind.
Oneida Shores County Park is located in Brewerton. Interstate 81 goes right through it. Route 11 in Cicero will be your closest shopping area. Its only one I-81 exit south of Brewerton. The part of Route 11 south of Route 31 in Cicero where all the shopping is located really needs to be widened. Cars zip through there so fast. Just a heads up. A Target strip mall is under construction right now and expect to see other commercial developments there too. Also, if you want to shop where there are many more Stores, you can go to Route 31 in Clay near Great Northern Mall. To get there from Brewerton take I-81 south to exit 30 , then go west on Route 31 for a few miles. Its mostly just fields (a chip fab shovel ready site is located there too) until you reach Great Northern Mall, just past the mall there are many strip malls and restaurants.
The school district for Brewerton is Central Square. It's not a very good school district I hear compared to the best ones in Onondaga County. The best are FM, JD, Westhill, WG, B'ville and Liverpool. North Syracuse is an average school district just south of you. I think one of the reasons Central Square isn't as good as other school districts in the area may have to with the students. It used to be a more rural district, but I think as more homes are built in the district, it will get better. I don't know if you have kids or plan to have kids, so this info about school districts may not matter to you.
Check your PM for more information about Brewerton. Hope this helped you a bit.

Thank you
You are truly a nice person. Thank you for all your help. My daughter works at nine mile point. We had wanted to rent a house in Raddison , Baldwinsville but couldn't find anything online and the realtors were not of much help. We did find a nice little house in Brewerton. I like the neighborhood. I have been to the carousel mall. It is just 12 miles away.
I lived in Binghamton NY for twenty years. I moved to Florida two years ago with my daughter, her husband and my grandson. We really liked an area outside of orlando, called, Lake Mary. We move a after a year there to Boca Raton Fl. It was absolutely beautiful and extremely expensive. My daughter was offered a job working at constellation energy for a great starting salary. It was a good career move for her so here we are back in NY state. I have to admit I missed the rolling hills and snow in upstate ny while I lived in the sunshine state. I worry about my daughter driving to work each day though. I guess we get pounded with snow and icy winds here. I wonder if you know the best and shortest route for her to take to get to nine mile point nuclear plant.
It takes her 45 minutes right now. No more room to write. Thands again.

Hi nonie,
Thanks! It's good to hear you like your neighborhood in Brewerton! IMO, the best route from Brewerton to Nine Mile would be to take Interstate 81 to exit 34. Head west on Route 104, then take a right onto County Road 29. Then left on to Lake Road.
This drive might be rough in the winter because most that route is in the heart of the snow belt in Oswego County. You may want to see how it goes this winter and if the commute becomes too much, you could always look into moving near the City of Oswego.
Sorry that this October seemed more like November weather. It's a strange weather year, everything seems a month earlier than normal.

Nonie49, I live in Bville and I recently visited Brewerton. I am not looking to insult anyone but niether my wife or I liked it. It looked a bit run down. There are rentals in bville, in fact there are two posted on the main raod near me(route 370) and there are some posted in the newspaper at Syracuse.com. I think my neighbor might be looking to rent his as he was recently transferred and does not want to wait to sell. His house however is very new and very nice and I think he would ask probably 1600- 2000 somewhere in that range. You can send me a private message if you would like me to investigate any further. Good Luck Glen
