How many years did you do that commute for? Did it ever affect your motivation or work? One of my friends that lives in Cape Canaveral commutes to the Orlando area and that's about an hour. It is taxing on her but she believes her job is worth it for the commute

I did it for a few months, but I would drive back and forth for stretches during the 3+ years was stationed there. It wasn't too bad of a drive, most times, but some times it would get interesting due to the Snowbelt.

I am looking at a job in Ithaca right now, but haven't applied as I am concerned about the commute from Camillus to Ithaca.

Does anyone have any experience with this commute or something similar?

I actually know of one person that has a Clay to Dryden commute and another person that does an Auburn to Ithaca/Cornell University commute. So, it seems like it can be done.

I would only be doing it 3 days a week for a job at the hospital there. 3 days on/4 days off.

Both of these people do it every weekday, I believe. The person that goes to Dryden works at TC3. If it is just for 3 days, it may not be too bad. If you have to leave early in the morning, you shouldn't have too much traffic to contend with as well. You could take I-81 South to 13 South into Ithaca, then take a right onto Route 96 to Cayuga Medical. I know that the person that commutes from Auburn takes Route 34.
