Hard to feel sorry for him since he broke the law. It's not even the law that was recently passed that he broke. Sorry, but why on earth would you try to sell firearms on the side of the road? Of course that sounds suspicious especially in this day and age. He could have gone south and sold the weapons without an issue or gone to a gun dealer to avoid his troubles.
I didn't see where he was selling firearms. Is there another link??
The link posted shows he was selling an item legal in America. Just here in NY the item is legal depending on manufacture date.
If you read the text, it states that he told police he was meeting someone interested in purchasing the firearms. An item is only legal in the locale it's located.
I hope there's at least one juror who knows about jury nullification... no victim in the "crime?" Know that you can make the choice to say NOT guilty.
Since when does there need to be a victim to be a crime? If you do something against the law, then you've committed a crime. Speeding is a victimless crime unless you're in an accident, but people speed every day and are ticketed for it. Some even have to visit a prison because they repeat so often and end up driving with a suspended license. Another victimless crime, but still a crime.

Legal does not mean right. Illegal does not mean wrong.
A juror has the OPTION to say Not Guilty, despite the legality of the incident and proof of it. If I was a juror in a trial for which a "crime" has been committed but I don't believe s/he should be punished, I could say Not Guilty. In this, I would vote that way. For possession of illegal drugs, I would vote that way. For drunk drivers or those people who almost kill others by driving the wrong way, I would vote Guilty.

Who said anything about being right? Or wrong?
A juror has to be honest and follow the judge's instructions. You have to follow the evidence and what the law is. If you don't, you're doing a disservice and don't belong on a jury. Wether or not you agree with the law is irrelevant. If you want it changed, petition your elected officials or become one yourself and try to change the law.
