I like Liverpool too, but they recently had an audit that revealed some issues in terms of money and school administrators between 2000-2007.
With that said, Liverpool spends more money that the North Syracuse SD. Taxes are higher too.
Also, if the North Syracuse SD went back to 2 HS's again, the development that bellafinizi is talking about would probably occur. With C-NS High at around 2400 kids in grades 10-12, they might have no choice but to go back to 2 HS's.

That's the area that is off of Hopkins Road. They just built a bunch of townhouses off of the road about 2 years ago. Nice area in the Liverpool SD. I used to live close to that area in Clayton Manor Apartments, which are very nice and quiet. Very good location too.

Actually, the photos in my previous post are of a new development off Bear Road in Clay. But...I must agree...this neighborhood looks very similar to the one you spoke about in the Town of Salina off Hopkins near Buckley. Two totally different parts of the northern suburbs though.

Actually, both of those developments were built by the Alberici's, if I'm not mistaken. So, that could be the reason for the similar look.

That's probably it. The patio homes in Hopkin's Terrence (Salina) are truly "cookie cutter", the ones in Clay have a few different styles. I didn't think I'd like the "cookie cutter" look of the Salina development, but I found the clean lines and exact layout appealing.

If Syracuse area civic leaders put half the effort into improving the North Syracuse school district (where the majority of kids actually want to learn) that they do for the city schools (where for the most part, most kids and their parents don't care about learning...probably the main reason city schools have such a poor reputation) I believe the North Syracuse district could possibility improve to be on par with Baldwinsville schools.

Just wondering if anyone knows the status of Mike Bragman's proposed housing development near the Oneida River in northern Clay near Brewerton? Last I heard the State DEC denied the request to build canals into the development. Therefore, Bragman had to drop plans for the canals. Then the project became a simple upscale home development near the river.
