Maybe I mentioned this before, but did you know that if we could increase the population of Clay by 16,000 which would bring it to 75,000+....than the Town of Clay would probably be the safest town/city in the country....since the crime statistics are better than both Amherst and Colonie (both in the top 10 safest list). Too bad the Syracuse area isn't growing fast enough to warrant such growth in the northern burbs.

Is there an update on county government investing in the infrastructure of the Clay Industrial Park? I heard a year ago that there were going to put in the interior roadway system.

Looks like the state is repaving Route 31... between Morgan Road and Cicero. About five years ago the state said they were going to widen Route 31 in that same stretch. Anyone know if the plans were dropped or if they have a set date to begin that project?

Kinney Drugs....does anyone know when they plan to start construction on their Taft Road store near Hanfer's? I thought it was approved months ago.

Since enrollment in Liverpool schools are down and enrollment in North Syracuse schools are way up...has anyone thought about changing the district border between North Syracuse and Liverpool? If the Liverpool school district expands its boundary to the east just a little, it will help ease the over-crowding in the North Syracuse school district and help fill the classrooms in the Liverpool schools.

Any update on the Three Rivers project? It sure is taking a long time to get it off the drawing board....
I remember first hearing about that project 7 or 8 years ago...

Three years ago a housing development named Orange Commons was approved by the Clay Town Board. The location for this development was off Route 31 directly across from the new Town Hall. No construction has begun yet...even three years later. Anyone know why this development hasn't even begun yet?
