Hi, I am going to move to Syracuse soon from NC. One thing I wasn't used to when I briefly visited Syracuse is that the lane division - yellow center lines especially - were very hard to see because I guess the paint has been washed out. My guess is that this is because of the heavy inundation but I am not sure. Is this something the city is working on or has it always been like this?

Either that or no lines were applied in the first place. Our neighborhood doesn't have any. It's assumed that everyone knows they should be driving enough on the right to allow opposing traffic to also drive on the right and when it's prudent to pass or not pass.

Between snow, salt, and rain, the paint doesn't last very long.

They usually try to remark the streets/roads during the late Spring and Summer. You'll notice that there is always some kind of road work going on during that time.
