Hey guys, me and my husband is moving to Syracuse. We work in Syracuse University.

We are now looking for an apartment. Anyone can recommend a good one with safe, clean community and clean no roaches room? We don't like downtown, 'cause crime rate is usually high.

Thanks!

What budget/rental price range? Maybe something like Maplewood Apartments in DeWitt could work and it is pretty close to the SU campus.

The rent is expected to be under 650.
Are the places near SU safe? What about Clarendon Heights Apt?
Thanks!

It is OK, but perhaps something like Nob Hill or Greenwich Manor would work.

I checked the Greenwich, only basements are available at this moment. I think I won't consider basement.

Do you know any website where I can find subleasing info?

Syracuse University Rent Apartment Housing used to be good for finding listings near campus. It can be hit or miss (since it's frequently a secondary place people list things) but it sometimes sees listings beyond what hits the regular places.

Honestly, finding a place in that price range in a nice neighborhood is not going to be easy. Can you come up in budget at all?

Yes I can come up a little, but not as high as 700. I checked all communities listed on orange housing, I like maplewood, but it's full house now. If there were to be a list of recommended communities, things would be easier.

Anyone ever heard of Springfield Gardens Apartments? There are few reviews on this community. But it seems okay.
