I've been looking everywhere for a list, but can't find one.

I'm closeted transgender and it's uncomfortable for me to get a haircut anywhere around here.

I'm in Cayuga County right now, so I'd prefer to find a hair salon that's to the west of Syracuse though I'll travel further for a good experience, and reasonably affordable.

Does anyone know of any place that is familiar with the transgender community? Or even just a stylist who is personally LGBT?

While this place is in the "gayborhood" it might not fit the bill.

I would reach out to the Syracuse Q Center and see if they know of someone. https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Q...29267220435675

The owner is gay: Hawley-Green marketed as gay-friendly

From that article: Michael De Salvo owns Hairanoia, a hair salon on the corner of Green and Catherine streets, and Friends of Dorothy Catholic Worker House, a home for people with AIDS, on Wayne Street. De Salvo and his partner, Nick Orth, also live there. They have a large rainbow flag painted on the garage.

Here's another article about him and he seems like a good dude: A Revolution of the Heart - Northside UP

You could try the hair salons involved in the Blowout fundraiser for the Q Center, they're listed under the photos here:
PHOTOS: Blowout 2014 | Syracuse New Times and on the Q Center's facebook page as "Hot Cocoa's and It Works." I've been to Hot Cocoa's; their focus is on wigs, extensions, and prostheses. Also, Michael De Salvo is a good dude and a good hair stylist.

I just asked a friend of mine who works in the lgbt community and he seconded Hairanoia.
