Anyone know if Syracuse has a Cinco de Mayo celebration this weekend--at least this year? I'm thinking around Clinton Square, but not sure?

There isn't a Cinco de Mayo festival, but there may be events based on Cinco de Mayo. There is a Crawfish Festival going on right now in Clinton Square.

Thanks ckh--maybe that is where I heard about something happening in Clinton Square. Hm, I haven't had a good soapapilla in a long time, so just looking for a place to eat one, and yeah, usually they have them at some sort of Cinco de Mayo festival booth or food cart, etc.

Perhaps try Alto Cinco on Westcott or Otro Cinco on Warren Street in Downtown. They may have what you are looking for.

Thanks--I might try to reach out to both of them this afternoon. I did however, find one place that sells them as part of their everyday menu:

Dining Out: Azteca Mexican Grill in Camillus | syracuse.com

Good find. Never been, but I've heard good things about Azteca. I think people forget about it due to its location, but it isn't far from Township 5 off of Route 5.

Went to this gem two weekends ago for the first time. By far the best and most authentic Mexican food available in the Syracuse area. Will be going back soon and often!!
