Here is a survey looking for ideas on what people would like to see in the Inner harbor, as well as the CNY Regional Market, the nearby NBT Bank Stadium and trails that through this general area: https://www.syracuselwrp.com/survey

As some may or may not know, there is ridiculous potential for this general area of the city and could be a way for the city to connect these areas to Downtown and the University hill area. A continuous area of potential activity could be a way to attract more people to visit and even live in the city. Destiny USA, the Regional Transportation Center and Franklin Square is already in this general area.

Here are street views of the areas mentioned in the survey...

Inner Harbor: https://www.google.com/maps/@43.0617...7i16384!8i8192

https://www.google.com/maps/@43.0600...!7i6144!8i3072

https://www.google.com/maps/@43.0604...!7i2508!8i1254

CNY Regional Market: https://www.google.com/maps/@43.0728...7i16384!8i8192

NBT Bank Stadium: https://www.google.com/maps/@43.0781...7i16384!8i8192

Portions of the Creekwalk: https://www.google.com/maps/@43.0651...!7i7776!8i3888

https://www.google.com/maps/@43.0679...!7i7776!8i3888

Keep in mind that the land east of the Inner Harbor used to look like this: https://cnycentral.com/resources/med...?1612580891809

https://cnycentral.com/resources/med...?1612581341515

It was an area called Oil City. so, there may need to be more remediation that has to take place, but the land could be used to create a substantial mixed use district/neighborhood that could include housing, businesses, offices, recreation facilities(including a stadium(Soccer/Football) and/or indoor athletic facility that could be used for events like AAU or youth events), etc.

^I filled it out and mentioned some market rate housing, perhaps having a venue at the Regional Market that could be tied into the end of the market with the beginning of game days at NBT Bank stadium.

I mentioned the idea of an athletic facility, one indoor and one outdoor, in the Inner Harbor or nearby that could be used for youth programs, events, for a high school, college and even a pro soccer team. Also, thought about more housing, business and office space in the area. Basically, a mixed use neighborhood/district. i also thought about boat slips, duck boats, a festival idea or two(like WaterFire in Providence or a Harborfest). Thought about a ferry that goes to Onondaga Lake Park and the Amphitheatre as well.

Also, mentioned lighting for the Creekwalk and maybe some historical information hearken back to how the Onondaga lived and treated the lake/creek; the Salt Industry and "Then" and "Now" information about the area.
