I've made a post for everything else, so I thought why not include banks.

Number of Bank Branches in the Syracuse area (Urbanized Area only)

M&T Bank...............34
Key Bank................17
Bank of America.......14
Alliance Bank...........13
Charter One............10
HSBC Bank ..............7
Solvay Bank.............7
Seneca Federal.........3
Fulton Savings..........2
First Niagara.............1
Adirondack Bank .......1

Total ~ 120

Alliance Bank, Seneca Federal and Solvay Bank are based in the Syracuse area. Fulton Savings is based in Oswego County.

FWIW, Charter One is now Citizen's Bank. The M&T count may have changed now, as with their acquisition of Partner's Trust some have since closed.

Alliance Bank is now NBT Bank, which is based in Norwich. Community Bank is based in DeWitt. Some Key Bank branches became a part of First Niagara. There are also credit unions like Empower and CORE, among others.
