Just to add to this, there are other zip codes in the area that have a median household income above the state figure of $59,269(2011-2015 information). I'll those later.......
Interesting that syracuse has more zips over 70,000 than Buffalo...but Buffalo has a much higher population in its zip codes as well
Yeah, it seems like the middle class is more spread out, as there are Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern zips in this list. A couple are in Madison County to the East as well. There are other zips in the $60-69,999 median household income range as well.
I also noticed that Buffalo zips can have more people in them and I believe that the Cicero zip code has the highest population out of those on the list(about 17,500 people).

I believe Buffalo's 14221 has over 50,000 people. But buffalo is a much larger metro so it makes sense

In the 60-69,999 list, 13027 and 13090 both have about 30,000 people or so. They might have the most people of any of the area zip codes.
