Great news and a long time coming for something they should have done a decade or so ago...

Le Moyne College will jump to NCAA Division I athletics starting this fall: https://www.syracuse.com/sports/2023...this-fall.html

It is a nice campus in a nice area of town and close to plenty of shopping as well in the Erie Boulevard East corridor.

Good business school and has some other solid academic programs as well.

Its Baseball, both Lacrosse and I'd even say both Basketball programs should be at least competitive right away.

The conference they are joining: https://northeastconference.org/

More: https://northeastconference.org/news...cement_22.aspx

I'd also suggest that they could host some Basketball games at the War Memorial Arena or even see if they could put the NEC Tournament there as an option in the future for a one location post season tournament(the NEC currently hosts at the higher seeds home court for their post season tournament). War memorial Arena information: https://www.asmsyracuse.com/p/book/o...r-war-memorial (When Syracuse has an NBA team from 1946-1964 before moving to Philadelphia, that is where they played)

There is also the SRC Arena on the campus of Onondaga Community College as an option as well and it is a county facility: https://www.sunyocc.edu/src-arena
https://www.google.com/maps/@43.0047...7i14000!8i7000

Le Moyne's current on campus arena: https://www.google.com/maps/@43.0515...7i16384!8i8192 (the softball and baseball fields are nearby)
Facility information: https://lemoynedolphins.com/facilities

Le Moyne baseball wins Division II East Regional Championship: https://www.localsyr.com/local-sport...-championship/ (Has been known for its good Baseball program for a while, including some players making it to the MLB level, Winning D2 National Championships and making the D1 Baseball playoffs in the past.)
