Default Destiny USA attracts first company to the Syracuse area

A Drywall company chose Radisson Corporate Park in Lysander as the site for a $57 million drywall manufacturing facility....

Drywall company to build Lysander plant

Notice this eco-friendly company did not want to build inside of the city limits. Locals will probably have a hissy fit.

Hmmm, I wonder why this California based company chose a suburban site over a city site? Could it be because the city is rather ugly, depressing and not a good work environment for future employees? Just maybe how a city looks is important after all? Sorry, I could not resist....

Can't be sure why they chose their particular location, but as someone considering leaving California, I can testify that plenty of businesses can benefit by moving almost anywhere else, considering tax implications and costs of land, labor, utilities, etc, etc...

Could be many reasons that a drywall company would chose a place in the suburbs as opposed to the city.... I can think of one right off the bat-space, of which no one could deny exists in greater quantity in the 'burbs. I think esthetics would not be top on the list for such a plant, but I could be wrong, it's been known to happen!
