Default Cluster Flies....ARRRRGGG

Is there a secret for dealing with these little buggers? We are awash in the nasty little things. I did a little research and have found that there is a possiblity that they are coming from inside the walls, not from the outside. If so it may prove impossible to find where they are entering as we have a very old farmhouse. I have purchase flypaper and other sticky devices, but would love to be even more proactive. Has anyone tried electronic fly catchers, and if so how well do they work? Any ideas would be most welcome.
