Default relocating to Syracuse suburbs from southern California.

Please tell us what towns are the best and schools, we have a 4year old daughter. we also run a service company that provides carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, area rug cleaning, tile & grout cleaning and re-sealing and soon wood floor cleaning & refinishing. We want to know what you think of these services out there and how succesful we could be. Any other info on living in Syracuse area would be much appreciated.

THANKS, Bill & Juliette

I don't think you'd have a problem finding work with those skillsets around here.

Bellafinzi has already posted a ton of info about Syracuse suburbs that you should read. Basically, any of the schools located outside the city limits are good. There's even a prep school for older students.

The more expensive and established burbs are located to the south (Manlius, Dewitt) and the more affordable and newer to the north (Clay, Cicero, Liverpool) where new mall complexes are being built.

I have recently started doing a lot of research for the Syracuse area. My family and I are moving there this summer. I have gotten a ton of information from Bellafinzi's posts. Schools are important to me and I found this website helpful
www.greatschools.net

I currently live in a great school district and spoke with a couple people from my town who used to teach in Syracuse and they highly recommend Fayetteville/Manlius, Westhill, and Jamesville-Dewitt. They also recommended West Genesee school district. West Genesee and Fayetteville/Manlius have a larger enrollment than the others (4500 - 5100), while the others are smaller (2000 -3000).
