For those of you considering a move from CNY to Carolina and think Syracuse has high crime, compare Syracuse to places like Columbia SC or Conway SC or Wilmington NC. They are all nice places with nice people, but I have to wonder how bad the crime in Syracuse really is.

If you are saying what I think you are saying, I agree. My mother is from Mullins and I think that small city of about 5,000 has a higher crime rate. Columbia and Syracuse are about even, eventhough historically Columbia is slightly higher. http://www.city-data.com/city/Columb...-Carolina.html
