Moving to Syracuse from CA.
Hello everyone, Basically, im planning on moving to Syracuse before december of this year and i need some information on what i need to prepare documents. I am currently 20, and it's my third year of college at a community school in California. And although this might seem an impulsive move, i agree, but i need to do this for myself and I would greatly appreciate if someone would be kind enough to give a link on the residency requirements, and etc. I'm looking for some informations on what to do first?

Theres no real requirements, like Cali or Nevada. Are you switching your driving license over?

Yeah, and i think i need some residency requirements inorder to get a better tuition rate at a community college. I'm planning on going to Onondaga. Do I have to call NY's DMV to switch my driving license and get another I.D. once im there? Thanks for replying btw.

Here you go: SUNY: Residency
Onondaga Community College is under the SUNY system here in NY State. That should give you the information you need to claim the appropriate residency for institutions in the SUNY system. Hope this helps.

No problem and I think for insurance, as long as you are going to school, you can be covered under her policy until the age of 22. That's what I think, if the concern lies there. Not sure if there would be an issue due to residency though.

Every insurance policy is different in regards to the age a student will be covered to and can range from 19 to 25 so you will need your mom to check her specific insurance policy.
