You're originally from Canada? What part?

Oh... People from eastern Canada say eh more than people from western Canada. I was not used to snow until I moved to Boston. That is also when I discovered I love snow.

Born and raised in Syracuse... never want to leave:

Northern
You have a Northern accent. That could either be the Chicago/Detroit/Cleveland/Buffalo accent (easily recognizable) or the Western New England accent that news networks go for.

The Syracuse area has the American version of what the Brits called "received pronunciation." It is (or was) considered as close to a generic American accent as you could find.

But over in Buffalo, they talk funny. :-)

You really don't have to spend that much on a house around here.

Sometimes I'm just flabbergasted at the prices that people elsewhere in the U.S. have been willing to pay for awful properties.

Honestly I doubt there are many $1 million houses for sale in the area. There is one in rural Camillus but it has been on the market seemingly forever. People just don't make that kind of money around here.

Check out Mallard's Landing just past the village of Manlius. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a million dollar house or two in that development off of Route 92.
