Default Job search websites

I've seen on a few occasions where people (I think it was either Bella or ckh that posts them) posts a few websites for finding jobs in CNY.

Just to give an idea of what I am looking for, I will be completing my MBA in Public Administration. Ideally I would like to get a position at one of the many colleges or universities working in admissions, student services, or financial aid. I also have teaching experience, but I would teach adult education than K-12.

After doing extensive research, I feel that CNY is where I belong. I would only be a few hours away from my family in Detroit if I cut across Ontario, I'm close to NYC and Toronto, two of my favorite cities, I love the atmosphere, and I would love to be part of the movement to revitalize the area. And, as an added bonus, I am a die-hard Orange fan; in fact, SU was my first choice for college (not that I regret attending VCU). I almost wish I had done more research on the area and discovered the other quality schools in the area.

Aside from national sites like monster.com and careerbuilder.com, the most comprehensive local job clearinghouse is probably Central New York Jobs. A word of caution, the number of local jobs listed on the site is probably overstated due to duplicate job listings obtained from several different job sites like indeed, careerbuilder and monster.

Another site worth exploring is daVincijobs - Job Search

The website tends to have fewer jobs, however has a greater concentration of higher ed opportunities than some of the other sites.

When logging on, check out the "Strategic Industries" column on the far right side of the screen which lists Higher Education among several growing sectors of the Syracuse economy.

Here are some websites of local colleges and universities within a reasonable commuting distance to Syracuse:

Syracuse University
SUNY Upstate Medical University
SUNY-ESF: SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry
Onondaga Community College
Cazenovia College www.cazenovia.edu
Columbia College New York - Hancock Field Syracuse
State University of New York at Oswego
Cayuga Community College
Morrisville State College - State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Morrisville - SUNY Morrisville
Colgate University is a leading liberal arts university located in Hamilton, N.Y.
SUNY Cortland - Home Page
Le Moyne. Spirit. Inquiry. Leadership. Jesuit

Based on your interests and locational preferences, Syracuse should be an excellent fit!
