What to do here??
I recently moved to Syracuse a year ago - my fiance is moving here now and I would like to do something fun with her! Even if its not in syracuse, but in central ny somewhere. Does anyone have any good ideas??? Other than museums, theater, movies, mall, etc!??

Seneca Lake or Keuka Lake wineries, with a finish at either a B&B for dinner and/or overnight or a really great restaurant in Ithaca (MANY to choose from.)

A couple others I forgot: Chiefs baseball game at Alliance Bank Stadium and Letchworth State Park.
Anyone been to Thunder Island in Fulton recently? I haven't been there since the mid 1990s. It was alright back then. Wondering if it's been drastically improved since?

some good replies. A bit farther out but incredible cities to visit are:
Montreal, about 4hrs 15 minutes, if you want romance Old Montreal is hard to beat. Ottawa is about 3hrs 15 min, great place to visit. Toronto incredible also, just less than 4 hours.
1000 Islands in a must. Finger Lakes wineries.
Corning Museum of Glass is a great winiter, rainy day visit
