Saddle Club Townhomes (Liverpool)??
Can anyone give an opinion one way or the other on these townhomes?
They are in Liverpool, which was suggested to me early on a a place to consider living with an easy commute back to downtown Syracuse.
Would love ANY feedback!!! Thanks

I would check this website for apartment ratings and select the following communities to see a list of reviews: Cicero, Camillus, Liverpool, North Syracuse, Fayetteville, Manlius, Baldwinsville, Camillus, LaFayette, Tully

I've mentioned it before and will again - but I really loved living at Covered Bridge Apartments in the village of Liverpool. If we were still renting and my husband worked closer to it, we'd still be living there. Low rent, heat and hot water included (HUGE money saver), great management and on-site maintenance who'd always have things fixed before I even came home from work (with my permission, of course), quick and early snow removal, lifeguarded pool, EXTREMELY safe... it was never even a question, is just blocks from magnificent Onondaga Lake Park and its events and amenities, and close to downtown and the action without being too busy.
When I left in early 2004, rent for my 1bd apartment was $535.

Another good place to check out is Clayton Manor Apartments in Liverpool. It's right off of Henry Clay Boulevard. It's close to the Thruway, I-81 and plenty of shopping options too. When I left there in 2007, we were paying $630 or so for a two bedroom. We only had to pay for utilities and that never went higher than $66 for us. There also is a community room, a fitness room and maintenance too. There should be some information on area apartments here too: Syracuse Apartments for rent in NEW YORK | ApartmentFinder.com

Thanks guys - so I take it nobody has a ringing endorsement for Saddle Club?
If we go with an apt we want it to be a three bedroom, that's what made Saddle Club attractive to me.

It's hard to find a *good* three bedroom complex... you'll have better luck looking on Craigslist. Don't go for anything in the $500's or lower and you should be able to stay in a decent area. Rent for a 3 bedroom in the the $500's or lower is VERY likely to be in a shoddy neighborhood. And I'd say that any 3bd for rent in a residence in the suburbs would be fine.

Thanks - just want to find a nice 3 bedroom place (home or apartment/townhome) that is in a nice safe place within 15-20 minutes of downtown Syracuse (Ideally, under $1200)
BTW, I did find Saddle Club on Craigs list!

Saddle Club is fine and you will notice that a lot of the apartment complexes are in the Liverpool area. There many nice aparatments in that area to chose from.

I have to admit, I get a little peeved when complexes advertise on Craigslist... people go to CL because you can find any old complex online already. What they're looking for is *something else.*
I don't think you'll find a 3bd. complex - a nice complex, that is - for $800 or less. However, for a decent-nice residential 3bd. apartment (which is typically nicer anyway and MUCH more spacious and full of character), it would be EASY. Eastwood is a pretty safe bet. I'd live there with no problems. If you see Lyncourt, Eastwood, "near Midler Ave.", Sunnycrest area, etc., you might want to seriously consider them. I know that I would.
