Can you provide your opinion on these town homes.
I came across this website that has quit a few town home communities. Does anyone live in any of them or have any opinions about them? The link is below. Please comment on some of these communities.
In case your wondering. I have never been to syracuse before, total rookie. I would prefer to be close to the airport.

A friend of mine lives in Eagles Pointe. They're pretty new, and it's a decent complex. Bit of a haul to the airport though. It's just off Rt. 57 and John Glenn Blvd, near Bayberry in Liverpool. Kitchens are a bit small... but they tend to be in complexes.

Many of those listed are either relatively far from Syracuse (Village Green) or not even in it (Fairview is in Ithaca and Colonial Manor is in Watertown.
Grant Village is "okay". It's safe enough, convenient to a grocery store (you can walk to a P&C in the Shop City Plaza behind it) and about a 15 minute drive to the airport on local streets (no need to use the highway). But it's an old apartment complex with low ceilings, small windows and small rooms. I wouldn't call them "town homes" - they are just conventional apaertments.
Saddle Club is discussed in a different thread that has been active recently on this forum - just scroll down to find it. I'll leave it to others with tangible experience to comment on the remaining properties.
Not sure where you're coming from but traffic here is fairly light. You can live pretty much anywhere in Liverpool, North Syracuse, Syracuse, Clay, Cicero, East Syracuse or Dewitt and get to the airport in 20 minutes nearly all of the time.

If I were you, I would go with Pearl Street. It's located in the very walkable and nice village of Liverpool. There's a grocery store, library, bars, restaurants, parks and banks all within walking distance from that complex. To get to the airport, all you would have to do is take a right onto Route 57/Oswego St., take a right onto Vine St, which becomes Taft Road. You can take that to South Bay Road, where you take a right. About two lights down the road, you will take a left to get to the airport. So, it's close to the airport as well.

Thank you very much for all your responses.
I am use to Las Vegas traffic and a 40 minute commute to work every day. The Hancock air port did not seem like a far commute from the Liverpool area.
Some of these rentals look alright to me but none of them seem to have a washer/dryer in the unit. I see they have hookups for them but I would prefer them in unit already. Does anyone know of any rentals that have washer/dryers in the unit?

I'm inclined to suggest that you pick the best possible option that has hookups already and then go to Sears or Ra-Lin's (an independent local discount appliance dealer) and negotiate the lowest possible price to buy a set. You might even find a set cheap on Craigslist. Syracuse is not a large enough market such that you'll have an abundance of good places to pick from that already have W/D included.
